Winona Packard

January 5, 1918 — July 22, 2010

WINONA (STUDT) PACKARD
Winona (Studt) Packard, 92, of Lakeview Village died peacefully after a brief illness July 23, 2010.
Winona was born in Kansas City, KS January 5, 1918. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip in 1994.
She is survived by her daughter, Winona Wedeman, of Olathe, KS, sisters Ruth Grueninger and Irene Kyle, of Kansas City, KS, and a brother Winton Studt of Longview, Texas. She leaves behind much loved grandchildren Beth (Bryan) Howard, and Christopher (Kris) Wedeman, and great grandchildren Phillip, Emily, Katie, Colin, Tommy, and Jason.
Winona was a homemaker spending many hours knitting, painting, doll making, making stained glass art, and quilting. Her great grandchildren say they remember her best for telling them stories of her childhood. They say she was quiet and loving woman, who loved sewing, art, fabric and yarn. They loved her very much and liked to visit her and spend time with her at Grandma Wedeman’s house on Christmas and Thanksgiving. Kate says “we all loved her and were glad she had a happy and fulfilling life, and we will miss her every day.”
Graveside services are to be held at Oaklawn Memorial gardens at 10 A.M. Tuesday, July 27, 2010.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, or Knox Presbyteriand Church.
