Winfred G. Morrow, 78, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2008. Services 10:00 am Saturday, January 3, 2009 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Private burial at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Winfred was born October 8, 1930 in Shelby, NC. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and was employed at Fort Leavenworth at the time of his retirement.
Winfred enjoyed gardening, working on his family’s genealogy and had a deep interest in the stock market.
He and Frances Bradford were married in 1956 in Dallas, TX. She survives. Other survivors include four children, Linda, John, Donna and Matthew; six grandchildren, Olivia, Calia, Christopher, Ames, Patrick and Jayme; one great-grandchild, Elizabeth; and a brother Max and his wife Betty.
