William H. Snead, Jr., passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2012 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 40th and Main, KCMO. There will a reception immediately following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Bill was born in 1927 in Lynchburg, VA. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He graduated from the University of Richmond and was a proud Spider. Bill married Martha Jean Miller August 7, 1956. He was in the real estate business for 45 years. Bill was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and instrumental in the acquisition of the additional building for the day school. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Martha Jean Snead. Survivors include his three children: Mary Blackmore, Tad (Alicia) Snead, and Sarah Alexander; 9 grandchildren.
