Wanda Marie Lee, 77, Overland Park, Kan., died July 22, 2016. She was born August 27, 1938 to Ruth Quillen and Ray Tomlinson in Kansas City, Mo. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Lenna Ruth Monchil, brother Bill Tomlinson and longtime partner Bryce Johnson.
She is survived by son Bryan Lee (Jennifer); daughter Courtney Lee; grandson Aidan Lee; granddaughter Eleanor Lee; sister-in-law Terri Tomlinson; niece Karen Monchil; nephews Mark Monchil and Jeff Tomlinson, and great niece Angelea Richter.
Wanda received a bachelor’s degree from Baker University, a master’s degree from Pittsburg State University, and a doctoral degree from The University of Kansas. Her career included work in special education, clinical psychology and school psychology. She was a school psychologist in the Shawnee Mission School District for 22 years.
Active in Kansas City arts, Wanda was a volunteer and supporter of The Friends of Chamber Music, Kansas City Symphony, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Friends of the Johnson County Library, and non-fiction and fiction book clubs. She also was a longtime member of KC BetterInvesting Club.
