Virginia Arlene Drum, 90, of Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 5, 2008 at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa, KS. A private prayer service was held on Saturday, December 6th at the Overland Park Christian Church. Virginia was born on December 20, 1917 in Iola, KS, to Charles E. and Clarabelle (Steele) Williams. She was the secretary for Lincoln Junior High School in Mankato, MN for 19 years. She retired and with her husband, moved to Lake Pomme de Terre, MO. Virginia was very active in the Hermitage Christian Church, where she was the organist for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret Hubbard; brother, Charles Williams; son, Mark Drum; and her husband, Kenneth Drum. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Linda Anthony and her husband, Bill, of Lenexa, KS and Carole Dotson and her husband, Denny, of Madison Lake, MN; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and her cat, Bandit.
