Viola Mae Johnson, 87, Boeing retiree and homemaker, passed away on Friday, November 27, in Olathe, KS. Services are Thursday, December 3, 10 AM at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, 3700 E. Mt. Vernon Road. Visitation is Wednesday, December 2, 5-7 PM, Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th North. She was born in Wellington, KS, March 18, 1922, to Walter Burden and Anna Crewse. Viola attended Belle Plaine High School, later moving to Wichita where she met and married Francis Glenn Johnson on October 8th 1950. She was the mother of one daughter. Preceded in death by her loving husband, survivors include daughter Glenda and husband Koytt O. Nichols of Spring Hill, KS; grandchildren Courtney Nichols of Lenexa, KS, and Koytt E. Nichols of Lawrence, KS; sisters Cleora Bentz of Wichita, Ila Ventsam of Haven, KS; In-laws Ves & Caryl Cox of Wichita, and Clarissa Johnson of Andover, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Viola was loved by all, she will be missed by everyone who met her.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, 3700 E. Mt. Vernon Road, Wichita, KS 67218.
