Tory, or Vicki as known by her college friends, was born and lived in Bronxville, NY until she married in 1963. Tory and family relocated several times. She spent 13 wonderful years in Atlanta before moving to Prairie Village in 1984. Tory loved life, and especially volunteering at St. Joseph's Medical Center and Catholic Charities, traveling, visiting family and friends, the annual Las Vegas trip with her daughters, attending Broadway shows and operas, playing bridge (making baby slams), tigers (Sumatran were her favorite), good food and wine, gardening, and swimming. Her favorite saint was St. Anthony. Tory said she will be watching from above and waiting for all her friends and family to come as there is no concept of time in Heaven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, Catholic Charities or St. Joseph's Medical Center Auxiliary. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Cure of Ars Church, 9401 Mission, Leawood, KS. The family will receive friends at the Church an hour before Mass.
