Truman Hunt Perry, 87, passed away at Kingswood Health Center December 4,2009. Truman was born on November 6, 1922 to Otto and Hazel Perry in Kim, Colorado. Truman was a graduate of Oklahoma City University. Truman served 4 years in the Air Force serving some time in Guam. Truman met and married Norma Marie Coleman and enjoyed 61 years of his life as her loving husband. He spent 31 years working for Ashgrove Cement Company. Truman was an avid sports fan and enjoyed such teams as Oklahoma University, The University of Kansas, and the Royals. Truman enjoyed playing football, basketball, and golf.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Norma; sons Thomas (Debbie) of Maumelle, AK, Timothy (Heidi) of Houston, TX; and grandchildren Tisha (John) of Fayetteville, AK; Andrew Perry of Houston, TX; and Elizabeth Perry of Houston, TX. Great-grandsons Tozer Patton and Titus Patton of Fayetteville, AK. Truman is also survived by brother Reginald Perry of Portland, Oregon; Sisters Dorothy Hunter of Wichita Falls, Texas; Colleen Gailbraith of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Beverly Little of Belton, Missouri; Bonnie Grogan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Barbara Cooper of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Sherin Brumley of Dayton, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in Truman’s name be made to Indian Heights United Methodist Church.
