Newcomer?s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Private interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:30 ? 8:00 pm Monday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Kansas City Hospice, 9221 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64114 or Sister Servants of Mary, 800 North 18th St., Kansas City, KS 66102.
Shirley was born April 12, 1927 in Erie, MO, the daughter of John and Fleta Kaufmann Favor. She retired from the IRS. She was married to Kenneth Price on October 18, 1947 in Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelley Briggs in 1991.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; two daughters, Gayle Price, Lenexa, KS, Kelly Mitchell, Stillwell, KS; one sister, Carol Mann, Shawnee, KS; seven grandchildren, Leslie Briggs, Paige Motzkus, Jeffrey Price Briggs, Patricia Nigro, Cameron Halstead, Pamela Price, and Kenneth Mitchell.
