SHIRLEY ANN (MIESNER) KENNEDY
Shirley Ann (Miesner) Kennedy, 81, entered into eternal life on July 10, 2011 with her family by her side.
Shirley was born August 19, 1929 to Edna and William Miesner in Kansas City, MO. In 1949 she married Ernest Kennedy. Together they had four children and made their home in Overland Park, KS.
Shirley spent many years working for Western Auto and then later as a receptionist at Salon 103.
Shirley enjoyed frequent trips to Las Vegas with her sister, playing bridge and time with her family. She also loved all animals. Shirley loved family above all else and showed love and compassion to everyone who entered her life.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, sister Rosemary and brother Bill. She survived by her husband of 61 years, Ernest, brothers, Don, David, Gary, Paul, Chuck and 4 children: Kathy of Springfield MO, Karen of Overland Park, Sean (Mary) of Olathe, and Jeannie (Dustin) of Olathe, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to an animal shelter in her memory.
A memorial service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held at a later date.
