Sarah Peery Lee died January 26, 2007, at Kingswood Health Care Center. She was born on April 16, 1918, to Dr. & Mrs. Charles L. Peery, the youngest of five children. A life long resident of Kansas City, she graduated from Northeast High School and Kansas City Junior College. She had a long career in human resources serving as Director of Personnel for several Kansas City companies. Until her illness, she was active in the Santa Fe Hills Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of over twenty-five years, John M. Lee. She is survived by her nephew Richard Frizell of Richardson, Texas, and his family.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 30 at 1:00 P.M. in Elliott Grove Cemetery, Brunswick, Missouri. Visitation is Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the Zoo, 6800 Zoo Dr., KC, MO 64132.
