Sandra Butler

Sandra K. Butler, 69, of Overland Park, KS died Friday, January 23, 2009 at Trinity Nursing and Rehab Center. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 9th at the Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral, 415 W. 13th St., Kansas City, MO 64105. Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice, 10000 W. 75th St., Ste. 240, Shawnee Mission, KS 66204. Sandra was born September 15, 1939 in Dodge City, Kansas to Lawrence and Marian Butler. She was a retired elementary teacher for the Shawnee Mission School District for 32 years. She was active in the NEA of Shawnee Mission and served as President of the Johnson County Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Johnson County Democratic Party, the Johnson County League of Voters and Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral of Kansas City, MO. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Marlin Butler, of Lewis, KS; one niece and three nephews.
