SAM SAKOULAS
Sam Sakoulas passed away peacefully on December 15, 2010. Sam was born July 26, 1925 in Kansas City, MO.
Sam served honorably in the Air Force during World War II stationed in the South Pacific. Sam was a graduate of KCU (UMKC) with a Degree in Economics. His career was as a Commercial Artist.
Sam is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cleopatra Sakoulas of the home, a brother George (Goldie) Sakoulas, two sisters Angeline (John) Kapnistos and Helen (Frank) Toplikar, and sister-in-law Smaro Nikitouplos, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 16th from 6-8:00p.m. at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS with the Trisagion being said at 7:00p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 17th at 10:30a.m. at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 12001 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO with private family burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church.
