Mrs. Ruth Smith

RUTH SMITH (Gearhart, Andrews, Johnson, Hoffman) -- died peacefully on June 9, 2013 at her home in Olathe, KS. Born in Dayton, Ohio in 1917, she lived most of her life in Ashland, Ohio before moving to Kansas to be near her daughter. An art teacher and elegant hostess, she will be remembered for her grace and resilience. Predeceased by her husbands, she is survived by her son, Harold E. Andrews and his wife, Karen, of Las Vegas, daughter Janet V. Andrews of Overland Park, grandson Scott C. Andrews and his wife, Rana, of Houston and Las Vegas, grandson Mark S. Andrews and his wife, Laura Katis, and their son, Charlie, of San Francisco. A memorial service will be held in July at Aberdeen Village in Olathe.
