Ruth Kroenke

Ruth Ann Kroenke, 99, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020, at Addington Place of Prairie Village, Kansas.  Visitation will be 9-10:00 am Tuesday, January 21, at Overland Park Funeral Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Ave.  Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am.  Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Tuesday at the  Memorial Cemetery in Cole Camp, Missouri.  Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Ruth to Trinity Lutheran Church, 5601 W. 62nd Street, Mission, Kansas, 66202; or Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Road, Kansas City, Missouri, 64137.

Ruth was born May 20, 1920, in Benton County, Missouri, to August H. Kroenke and Emma (Reinert) Kroenke.  She grew up in Edmonson, Missouri, and lived in the Kansas City area for more than 70 years. She worked for Proctor and Gamble for 30 years before retiring.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  Ruth valued her family and was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and cousin.  She was also a loving dog owner to her lucky Boston Terriers.  All through her life, Ruth was generous with family and friends and had a giving spirit.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers and their wives: Alvin H. and Evelyn Kroenke, and Raymond H. and Sophia Kroenke. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as beloved friends and neighbors from where she lived for more than 50 years in Overland Park, Kansas.
