Rose Ann Culver passed away on Tuesday, June 16th, 2015, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Rose Ann was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and moved at an early age to Fern Creek, Kentucky. She attended Fern Creek High School. Through her aunt and uncle, she met and married John Carpenter Culver, Jr. They moved to Overland Park, Kansas in 1958. Rose Ann had a daughter, Deborah Hoerl (Dale Hoerl) of Bucyrus, Kansas, and a step-daughter, Kay Hughes of Canton, Michigan. She also had a grandson, Collin Turner (Danielle Turner), and two beautiful great grandchildren, Peyton Marie Turner and Jackson Carpenter Turner (which she was so proud of and loved dearly). Rose Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John Carpenter Culver, in 2003, and by both of her parents and her brother many years ago.
The visitation will be held at Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas, on Saturday, June 20th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with the service following at 2:00 PM. Even though Rose Ann loved flowers, she loved animals more. The family would appreciate contributions, in her name, to: Animal Haven, 9800 W. 67th Street, Merriam, Kansas 66203 (Phone: 913-432-7548).
