Rosalee Parker

Rosalee E. Parker, born in Houstonia, Missouri, on August 30, 1917, passed away at home in Prairie Village, Kansas on Sunday, September 26, 2010. Her parents were Charles and Elizabeth Bodenhamer. She was a graduate of Northeast High School, Kansas City, Missouri. She was a member of the Prairie Baptist Church and East Naples Methodist Church in Naples, Florida. She worked for the Red Cross and for the Hospital Association in her early years. She was an accomplished seamstress, and an avid golfer at both Brookridge Country Club and the Glades Country Club in Naples, Florida, where she and her loving husband, Robert Reid Parker, wintered for many years. She is predeceased by her two dear brothers, Warren Bodenhamer and Lawrence Bodenhamer. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Reid Parker, and three devoted sons: Robert Warren Parker (Ann) of San Antonio, Texas, Bruce Donald Parker (Sandra) of Coral Gables, Florida, and Richard William Parker of Naples, Florida; nine grandchildren: Marjorie Parker David (Ryan), Warren Parker, Grant Parker, Lacey Parker, Ryan Parker, Robert Parker, Charles Parker, Elizabeth Parker, and Caroline Parish (Scott), and two great-grandchildren: Wyatt David and Elliot Parish, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rosalee will be missed by her family and many friends every day. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Mrs. Parker to Prairie Baptist Church, 7416 Roe Avenue, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M. on Thursday, September 30, and funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 1, 2010, both at Prairie Baptist Church.
