Ms. Rosa "Rosie" Brown

Rosa Lee Brown, 72, of Prairie Village, passed away on December 19, 2012. Rosie was born February 3, 1940 in Homewood, Kansas, to Virgie and James Meyer and graduated from Ottawa High School, Ottawa, KS in 1958. She then went to school at St. Luke's Hospital to become an x-ray technologist. Rosie worked as an x-ray tech for over 40 years in the Kansas City area. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers William and Mike Meyer, and her beloved sons, Spencer and Tyler Brown. She is survived by her daughter Tisha, son-in-law Ben (Welch), and loving grandchildren Henry, Parker and Lily, brothers Ken (Mary Jo) Meyer and Jim (Celeste) Meyer, sister Alice (Ralph) Colas, and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and amazing friends. Donations can be made to Cambridge Church, www.cambridgechurch.org. Services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012, and D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., visitation at 1:00pm, funeral at 2:00pm, burial to follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
