ROBERT J. PLATTER, 87, Prairie Village, KS passed away Feb. 24, 2014.
Bob served as a Naval Aviator during the Korean War.
He retired from Marsh & McLennan in 1992 where he was Vice President/Account Executive and held the designation of C.P.C.U.. Bob was a Master Mason, Knights Templar, Shriner and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Overland Park.
During his retirement years he volunteered as a Stephen Minister and worked for the Chair Rock Bison Company. Bob's passion was golf and he enjoyed playing often with his friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Christine (Mike) Lewis and Tammy (Mike) Judy; 4 grandchildren, Samantha, James, Lauren and Michael; and a great grandchild, Benjamin.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66204. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Rd, Kansas City, MO 64137.
