Robert J. Hall, 89, of Prairie Village, KS passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Brighton Gardens, Prairie Village, KS. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 27th at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Burial in Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, September 26th at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Mr. Robert J. Hall was born on March 28, 1919 in Garfield, Arkansas. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was married for 49 years to Lenis L. Hall. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War. After serving in Guam, he worked at Colgate Palmolive for over thirty years as an engineer. He enjoyed golfing, camping and stamp collecting. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenis L. Hall; brother, William H. Hall and granddaughter, Julie Hall. Survivors include four children; Roger Hall and his wife Mary, of Boerne, TX, John Hall and his wife Marge, of Grand Junction, CO, Doug Hall and his wife Colleen, of Overland Park, KS, and Donald Hall and his wife Debi, of Shawnee, KS; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
