Robert W. Catenhauser, 96, passed away Monday, January 18, 2010. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2010 at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Assn.
Robert graduated from Paseo High School in 1932. He married Vesta Mae Edmonds in 1940. Robert was a Second Lieutenant and a glider pilot for the Army Air Corp during WWII. He co-owned and operated a family business, Missouri Sewing Machine Company, for over 40 years retiring in 1994. Robert was a Mason and a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years. Survivors include his three children: Vesta (Colin) Hayden, Barbara A. Allison, and Curtis (Christy) Catenhauser; grandchildren: Curtis R. Allison, Cathie Kearby, Jeffrey Allison, Jill Sanchez, Lori Jennett, Carolyn, Martin and Charles Catenhauser; and 12 great grandchildren.
