Robert W. Bell, 85, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 13, 2010 at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS with a visitation prior from 9-10 a.m. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons, KS.
Bob was born January 4, 1925 in Kansas City, KS. He was a WWII Army Veteran where he served and was wounded in the South Pacific. Bob married Beth Mabie September 16, 1951. He was a member and active volunteer for over 57 years with the Community Christian Church. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Beth Bell; a daughter Diann and her husband Jim Bengtson; brother John E. Bell; granddaughter; Crystal Stergos; and his faithful companion Chibie the cat.
