RAMON SCHUMACHER, JR.
Ramon Schumacher, Jr., went to be with the Lord November 25, 2010. He was born to Ramon and Ina Schumacher on March 12, 1921 and was raised in Kansas City. He was an Architectural graduate of the University of Illinois where he met Helen Mayr of Chicago. They married two years later in 1944. He served in the military in WW II and the Korean War. Ray was a quiet man with a warm sense of humor and a quick wit. He was devoted to his wife and four children, Peter, Ramon III, Ann and Charles. Ray’s extended family includes seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He grieved heavily at the loss of two grandchildren. Ray’s life-long hobby was traveling. It was also his great pleasure to enjoy the hour before dinner sitting in the living room listening to classical music with Helen while they discussed the day’s activities. In his later years he volunteered his architectural skills in developing nations. Ray will be loved and remembered by family and friends around the world. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Prairie Village, KS.
