Phyllis Sunder Jenson, 87, Overland Park, KS passed away October 30, 2011. Funeral services will be
2:00 pm Friday November 4th, at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 9100 Mission Rd, Prairie
Village, KS. Phyllis was born April 23, 1924 in Duluth, MN to Harry and Signe Sunder. She received a
degree in Bachelor's of Science from the University of Minnesota and a post graduate certificate in Medical
Record Science from the College of St. Scholastica. She was the Director of medical records for Ancker
Hospital St. Paul MN; Director of medical records for Dakota Hospital, Fargo ND; Instructor of
Hospital Administration, Concordia College; lnstructor of Medical Record Administration, College
of St. Mary, Omaha NE; Director of Medical Records, Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings NE.
She was a member of the American Medical Record Association; President of the North Dakota Medical
Record Association; President of the Nebraska Medical Record Association, President, Adams County
Cancer Society, Ad Hoc Committee for Stat Retrieval; Hastings Community Theater; OES and Shrine
Auxiliary.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd G. Jenson, Sr. her son, Lloyd Jenson, Jr. and her
parents. She is survived by her daughter, Linde Jenson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the City Union Mission or Kansas City Hospice House.
