Paula Plummer’s last class was dismissed on March 6th, 2017. She taught friends, family, students, and strangers about life for 85 years and now joins her beloved husband, Maurice, her parents, Dena and Paul Bible and countless friends and family in heaven. Born January 25th, 1932, Paula was not only a school teacher for 37 years at the Shawnee Mission School District, but she continued to teach compassion, friendship, and love during her 85 years on this Earth.. She leaves behind a legacy and lessons that will continue to be taught by her brother Grant and his wife, Lucille Bible; daughter, Kim Winne; grandchildren, Jessica Winne, John Winne, Jena Entrekin and her husband Matthew Entrekin, and Jacqueline Winne; 2 nieces, 3 nephews, and several cousins. Paula also leaves countless memories not only to her family, but also to many close friends. Paula graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1956. She became a member of Beta Sigma Phi in 1951, and made lifelong friends and memories. She was a member of the Red Hat Society since 2005. She was also involved in PEO since 2006. Since 1961, she was a member of the Overland Park Church of Christ. Paula played a pivotal role in everyone’s life, and she will be dearly missed by her friends and family; but her memory, love, and lessons will carry us through.
