Reverend Paul W. Funk, 86
Passed away peacefully on Nov. 23rd at Garden Terrace
Nursing Home of Overland Park. Staff of the
Home and Good Samaritan Hospice provided him comfort and loving care during his last days. He was attended by family and friends.
Pastor Paul, as many knew him to end, served 13 churches
in his 60 years of ministry with his beloved wife Mavis.
After her death, Paul moved the Atlanta area to be with his daughter Mary and her husband Steve Long . Due to the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease, he moved into Assisted
Living there and in 2008, and then moving to Garden Terrace
Nursing Home in Overland Park, close to his daughter Susan.
He is survived by his two daughters, grandchildren, Amy
Milionis, Scott Warnecke, great grandchildren Ion, Lee and Elizabeth.
and his sister Marie Stephens
A memorial service is being planned at Immanuel Lutheran Church
1700 Westport Road at 2:00 on Saturday, December 5th
