Orland D. (O.D.) Litzenberger, 78, of Shawnee, Kan., went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2009, at Sharon Lane Nursing Home in Shawnee. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Overland Park Baptist Temple, 11648 Antioch Road, Overland Park, KS 66210. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Overland Park Baptist Temple.
O.D. was born in Jetmore, Kan. He served Army and worked as a manager for A.T.&T. for 33 years. He was a faithful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Katie, three sons, David, Independence, Mo., Paul, Greer, SC, Richard, Shawnee, Kan., a daughter, Diane Macheers, Shawnee, Kan.; a sister, Vada Lang, Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and a son, Phillip. He was a faithful member of Overland Park Baptist Temple.
