Norma Sherry

Norma H. Sherry, 87, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2007. Funeral services will be 12 noon, Saturday, October 13, 2007 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be from 10-12, prior to the service. Burial in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, Shawnee, KS. Norma was born December 5, 1919 in Butler, Missouri and was raised as a farm girl. Norma was married twice for a total of 70 years. She resided in Shawnee for 46 years, where she raised her 5 children. Norma was a Lifetime Deacon of Merriam Christian Church. She was a loving wife and mother and had many friends and always wore a smile. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl W. Sherry; daughter, Christine Braughton. She is survived by her 3 sons, Clifford Rhoades, Clinton Rhoades and Wesley Sherry; her daughter, Joyce Lovell; 2 brothers, Homer McDaniel and Richard McDaniel, and sister, Rosetta Stewart. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren.
