Norma Forsythe

Norma Kathryn Forsythe, 54, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away unexpectedly on March 24, 2010. Norma was born September 26, 1955, in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William A. Thomasson, and her parents, David E. Caughron Sr. and Betty Jean (Hill) Caughron.
She is survived by her children, William A. (Thomasson) Forsythe, of Merriam, KS; Kimberly D. (Thomasson Forsythe) Service and husband Henry, of Gardner, KS; Kaci Forsythe of Shawnee, KS; and two grandsons: Christian and Caleb Service. Additionally, she leaves behind three brothers, Robert L. Huckleberry, of Parkville, MO; William C. Caughron and wife Lani, of Raytown, MO; and David E. Caughron II, of Kansas City, MO, two sisters, Brenda J. Tull and husband Ray, of Overland Park, KS; and Debora A. McFarland, of Shawnee, KS. She also leaves her companion, James Michael Bayles of Shawnee, KS. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and her extended family, who deeply loved her.
She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend and a devoted grandmother. All knew Norma for her charitable spirit. Quick to give and always loving, Norma was a great woman and a true friend. She was a pillar of strength for her family, and her smile brought many more to those around her. Her memory will be cherished by all those whose lives she touched.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010 at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel; burial in Longview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 28 at the chapel.
