Nancy was born in Kansas City, MO, and received her education at St. Elizabeth’s, Bishop Hogan High School, and was a member of the last graduating class at St. Agnes High School, prior to its becoming Bishop Miege.  After graduation, Nancy met Thomas Malinowski and they were married in April 1959.  They became the surprised parents of twins, Cathy and Michael, in 1960.  Throughout her wonderful life, Nancy’s number one priority was her family.  She enjoyed affiliations with the Ladies Guild and Resurrection Choir at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Nancy was an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals and KU basketball teams, and liked to play neighborhood Bunk-O.  Known for her gracious hospitality, anyone who entered her door was warmly welcomed and showered with every kind amenity.  Her unselfish, kind demeanor endeared her to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, in 1994, and by her parents, Joseph P. and Marie C. (Basile) De Marco.  She is survived by:  her children, Cathy (Sean) O’Connor and Michael (Jerry Jones) Malinowski, all of Overland Park, KS; and a sister, Joan Martino of Houston, TX.  Please offer condolences at www.overlandparkchapel.com.
