Morton (Bud) Truog, 92, passed away on February 22, 2007, at home. Memorial services will be Monday, February 26, 2007, 11 a.m., at the Country Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Pkwy., Kansas City, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to Country Club Christian Church or Wayside Waifs. Morton "Bud" Truog was born March 22, 1914 in Kansas City, Mo. "Bud" grew up in the Brookside area, attending Border Star and Southwest High School. He attended University of Missouri and was a member of Beta Theta Pi. He married Virginia McGill in 1946. Bud worked in the film industry with United Artists for over 40 years. After retirement, Bud was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels. He was a member of The Salt & Pepper Club as well as The Movie Lunch Bunch. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia in 1992. He will be dearly missed by his daughters Karen Gray and Dorothy "Demi" Ebrite; son-in-law, Richard Gray; sister-in-law, Dorothy Webb; five grandchildren, Eric Ebrite, Tina Gray, Jennifer Gray, Emily Kulaga and Kate Kulaga; daughter-in-law Talitha Ebrite; two great grandchildren, Blake and Chase Ebrite; his dear friend Audrey Webster, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
