Mirrel Edman Blauvelt, 87, Bonner Springs, KS was reunited early Friday morning with his beloved wife, Alma Frances Rose Blauvelt. Mirrel was born to Theresa Mae Shrock and Mirrel Hudson Blauvelt on February 9, 1921 in Kansas City, MO. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 26 years. Mirrel and Frances are survived by seven of their nine children: Lucille M. Garst, Edmond R. Blauvelt, Betty L. Ray, Don M. Blauvelt, Henry H. Blauvelt, Bonnie J. Morgan and Judy K. Karnowski they sere preceded by Frances L. Blauvelt and Beverly A. Ross. They leave 30 grandchildren, 74 great- grandchildren and 19 great, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel burial will follow at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests everyone spend some special time with their own families, in memory of Mirrel.
