Mildred Ruth (Menzies) Enfield, beloved wife, mother and grandmother 87 passed away Sunday, May 29th, 2011 at Katy Manor Nursing Home in Pilot Grove, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday June 4, 2011 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66204 with burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, KS. Friends may call from 6-8:00 pm on Friday June 3, 2011 at the funeral home.
Mildred was born in Washington County, Kansas on the Bingo Ranch homestead April 15, 1924, to Louis and Addah Menzies. She married Keith O. Enfield July 3, 1940. They made their home in Kansas City, Kansas until retiring to Smithton, MO in 1985. She retired after 27 years from Hallmark Cards, was a Blue Bird Leader, Scout Mother and Teen Town sponsor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Hubert Menzies, Kermit Menzies and sister Marjorie Lindsey and grandson Daniel. She is survived by husband, Keith, son Gary K (Tonita), daughter Jeanne Poore (Larry), grandchildren Karen Spencer (Brett), Kandice Enfield, Darryl Poore (Debbie), Keith Joseph Enfield (Rachel), Natalie Hutchison (Rick), Kandi Marsh (Scott), and Angela Lerma and husband JR and great grandchildren Dustin Spencer and wife Allison, Amanda Easley (Aaron), Krista and Kayla Poore, Kaitlyn Kling (Jordan), Cody and Troy Marsh, Saige and Brooklynn Enfield, Glenn and Ashley Borck, Rachel Hutchison, and great, great grandchildren Abigayle and Calvin Easley, Harmony Kling, Marcello and Luca Borck and many nieces and nephews.
