Mildred S. Kraft, 88, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2012. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21,2012 at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22nd at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Crosslines or The Great Plains SPCA.
Mildred was born and raised in Kansas City, KS and graduated from Wyandotte High School. She worked as an administrative assistant throughout her life ending her career working for a federal judge in Little Rock, AR. Mildred was married to George Kraft in 1964, he preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Nadine Stover; a brother, Gene Stover; and a sister, Ruth Holcomb. Survivors include her children: Jean Ann (Jim) Atwell, Tom (Karen) Huff, and Charles Kraft; grandchildren: Marianne Atwell and Julie (Chad) Carreira; and a nephew, Craig Holcomb.
