Mildred 'Sue' Crabtree
December 28, 1946 — November 25, 2008
Mildred Suzanne (Sue) Crabtree was born December 28, 1946 in Springfield, MO to Mildred and Ragain Rook. On November 25th, while surrounded by her family, God sent his angels to carry Sue to her heavenly home. Awaiting her was her mother, father and brother, Joe.
She leaves behind four children, Lisa Fischer (Doug), Olathe, KS, John Crabtree (Barbie), Sunrise Beach, MO, Mark Crabtree (Heather), Springfield, MO and Cyndi Shouse (Chuck), East Troy, WI and eight grandchildren, Luke, Collin, Jack, John Garrett, Jordan, Dustin, Caysi and Cody. She is also survived by a brother, David Rook, sister, Sharon Rook, niece, Sonya, nephew, Jody and other extended family and countless friends.
Sue retired from GE as an Account Specialist after over thirty years of service. She enjoyed spending time at the water whether it was the beach or the lake. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and could be found cheering them on at sporting events. She had a kind and loving heart and always put others before herself.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf. The family wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to UMDF, 8085 Saltsburg Rd., Suite 201, Pittsburg, PA 15239 in memory of Sue Crabtree and in honor of her grandson, Jack Fischer.
