Melba Rider, age 84 of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. preceding the memorial service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Prairie Baptist Church, 7416 Roe Ave Blvd, Prairie Village, Kansas. Melba was a member of Prairie Baptist Church for 54 years and she volunteered at the information desk of Overland Park Regional Medical Center for 8 years. Melba was born in Villa Rica, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother and 1 son, David. She is survived by her husband William H. (Bill) and daughter, Janice all of Overland Park. Memorial Contributions may be sent to the Music Department of Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas.
