Matthew T. Farmer, 58, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away May 19th, 2011.
On Friday, June 3, 2011, Visitation will be held at 11:00am with a memorial service immediately following at 12:00 pm at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66204.
Matthew was born and raised in the Kansas City Metro area, graduated from KU with a degree in Journalism. He was involved as a project manager in the construction business.
Matthew is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Etta Jane Farmer, brother, “Abie” Farmer, and sister, Rebecca French. He is survived by his three children; Matthew A. Farmer, 21, Mitchell W. Farmer, 19, and Melinda Renee Farmer, 16 all of Overland Park KS, a niece, Ryan Monroe(Matt), nephew, Pat French, and brother-in-law, C. Craig French.
