Mary E. Thompson, 83, of Raymore, MO passed away December, 20, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Friday, December 24, 2010, at D. W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210 with funeral service to follow. Burial will occur at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, Shawnee, KS.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents John and Grace Fox, brother John Fox, sisters Jackie Krisch and Rose Thurston. Survivors include her husband James W. Thompson, Sr., daughter Evaleena Rose “Sue” Sanders, son James W. Thompson, Jr. (Nancy), 3 brothers: Glen Fox (Bobbie); Joe Fox (Pat); LeRoy Fox; grandchildren Deana L. Starkey, Donna Sue Fiatte (Bill), Charles E. Newcome (Ruth), Terri Thompson, Tracy Lyle (Morgan), 9 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
