Mary Obertino

Mary Obertino died on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at age 93. Mary was an avid golfer and bridge player at Brookridge Country Club. She was also a Red Cross volunteer while living in Overland Park, KS. Thirteen years ago, she relocated to Redondo Beach, California, to live closer to her daughter and granddaughter. During her years in Southern California, Mary enjoyed volunteering at Beach Cities Hospital in Redondo Beach. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James Obertino, of Overland Park, KS. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Giguere, of Rolling Hills Estates, California; her son, James Obertino of Warrensburg, Missouri; her granddaughter, Nicole Wagner, and her great-grandson, Brendan Wagner, both of Gardena, California. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel; burial in Corinth Cemetery.
