Martha Nell (Hethcoat) Barker, age 80, of Overland Park, KS passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the home.
Martha was born March 12, 1931 in Chattanooga, TN to Isaac Henry and Clara (Ezell) Hethcoat.
Martha retired as the receptionist at Coca-Cola Mid America after over 20 years of service. It was a job she truly loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Betty L. Dickson; husband Theodore B. Barker and grandson Ryan T. Knapp. She is survived by daughter Rene' Elaine Knapp and son-in-law Thomas E. Knapp; granddaughter Lisa Shannon Knapp; cousin Carolyn Jones; nephew David L. Barker, numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends Kathy and Denny; Gary and Carol and Andy M.
Martha requested a graveside service only which will be Monday, March 28 at Johnson County Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. Donations can be given in her name in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
