Marjory E. Rogers, 80, of Mission Hills, KS, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2011. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 7 at Corinth Cemetery. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, at Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS. Visitation is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS.
Marjory was born in Morrill, KS September 1, 1930 and grew up on a farm in Fairveiw, KS. She was married to her childhood sweetheart, Dr. Robert L. Rogers for 57 years, also of Fairview. Marjory and Bob lived in Minneapolis, MN and Weisboden, W. Germany before returning to the Kansas City area in 1960. Marjory was a RN and head nurse at KU Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her husband and son Hugh of Whitefish, MT. She is survived by her son Clark and daughter Emily and grandchildren Grant Rogers and Kyle Fehr.
