Marian Sullivan King passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 peacefully in her sleep with her rosary in her hands. Marian was born June 18, 1923 in Rochester, NY. She met her husband, George King, when she was 15. They married September 18, 1943 and lived in various cities throughout the East coast. They eventually settled back in Rochester, NY where they raised their 2 children, Tom and Kathy. George and Marian founded their company, George King Bio-Medical, Inc. in 1973 in Salem, NH. They moved the company to Overland Park in 1978 to be near their daughter, Kathy, and their grandchildren. Marian was a devout Catholic and loved her religion. She was a volunteer at Overland Park Regional Medical Center for over 10 years. Marian loved her family and seeing her grandchildren grow up. Her husband, George, son, Tom, and brother, Tom, proceeded her in death. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathy (Edward) Blasco, Lenexa, KS, her 2 loving granddaughters, Katie (David) Wilkes and Kelly (Ben) Wornall, both of Lenexa, KS and 5 loving great grandchildren, Anna, Alyssa, Ryan, Alaina, and Shawn. Funeral will be Saturday, November 15th starting at 10:00am with visitation starting at 9:00am at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception 416 West 12th St, Kansas City, MO.
