MARGARET LUTHY HART
Margaret Luthy Hart celebrated her 100th birthday with her family on March 2, 2013. She passed away on March 18th at John Knox Village Care Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Margaret was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She was active in the life of Jackson Avenue Christian Church. She graduated from Central High School. She married Charles Martin Hart in 1935 and together they managed a district agency for Farmers Insurance Group until he died in 1966. After his death, she was office manager at Burns, Allen and Liston Insurance until her retirement in 1984. Margaret was a fan of Missouri Tigers football and attended the home games. She enjoyed the Kansas City Symphony and the Kansas City Repertory Theatre. She loved to travel. She was Past President of the Missouri Branch of The King's Daughters, a member and volunteer of the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary of Greater Kansas City, a Past President and member of Kansas City Chapter of National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of The Heart of America Pilot Club and a volunteer at Hall's Kaleidoscope. She is survived by her son, Charles Martin Hart II and his wife Pamela of Overland Park, Kansas, a granddaughter, Sally Hart Sulcove and her husband, Elliott, and her two great grandchildren, Brian and Elizabeth Sulcove of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the compassionate care received at the John Knox Village Care Center and Village House. Private service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
