Margaret Ethel Drees Dostal, Colorado Springs, CO, formerly of Leawood, KS, passed away September 24, 2007. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 29th at St. Ann?s Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf, with a Rosary at 6:30 P.M. She was born April 14, 1918 in Little Rock, AR to Charles and Mary Pearl Drees. Margaret was a Republican Precinct Committee woman for over 40 years. She was the 3rd District Presidential elector for President Ronald Reagan?s second term. Many elected officials in Johnson County attribute their first successful election victory to her. She knew how to do grass roots organizing and campaigning. She was a secretary for Travelers Insurance before retirement and was mentor to the Life Insurance trainees in the Overland Park office. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, V.M. ?Doc? Dostal in 2001; and her brother, Charles of Cabot, AR. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Sprague and husband, Perry, Wichita, KS; her son, Jim Dostal and wife, Ann, Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Zoe and Joshua of Colorado Springs, CO, Danielle of Denver CO, and Jimmy of Pueblo, CO; one great grandchild, Dominic of Pueblo, CO; and her younger brother, Jack Drees of Burbank, CA.
