LOWELL Z. WILSON
Lowell Wilson, 93, passed away at his home in Albuquerque, after several years of declining health. He was born in Rexburg, ID to Ray and Mary Wilson, June 18, 1917. Lowell was 5 when his family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. He remained there until he graduated from High School, when he moved to Kansas City, where he worked as a radio transmission engineer for a Kansas City radio station. In 1942, Lowell enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where, he was stationed in the Four Corners area during the War, as a Radio Base Station Installer. During this time, he married Mary Louise Harscher, and they later adopted two children. After the War, he established his own Aircraft Radio Installation Company; Wilson -Wylie Company." He retired from Marion labs as a telecommunication specialist. He was a friend of Bill W. In addition to his parents, Lowell is predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Mary Louise Wilson; by one brother, Rulon, and one sister, Ruth. He is survived by his son, David Wilson, and his wife, Kelly, and his daughter, Diane Wilson; his grandson, Robert Wilson; his brothers, Lynn Wilson, and his wife, Matilde and Robert Wilson, and his wife Marilou. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wed., Oct. 13, 2010 at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel, with a graveside service following at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
