Lothar "John" Hey

Lothar “John” Hey, 71, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church; burial at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Overland Park Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Cancer Action 10520 Barkley St # 100, Overland Park, KS. John was born September 24, 1938 in Immekeppel, Germany to Wilhelm and Agnes Hey. As a young adult he moved to Ireland where he lived and worked for four years and there met his future wife, Lorri Hey. He immigrated to America in 1964 and married Lorri in 1965. He sold Heavy Equipment internationally for his entire career. John traveled the world in relentless pursuit of “The Good Deal”. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Lorri Hey; a son, Greg Hey; a son Geoffrey (Ronda) Hey, and many close and dear friends.
