Mrs. Lois Rice

Lois M. Rice, 85, of Mission, KS, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012.
Lois was born September 7, 1927 in Arapahoe, NE to Edwin and Anna Wohler. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in St. Louis and spent the majority of her career at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She retired in 1986. On January 28, 1949, she married Lee Rice in Alma, Kansas. Lois was an active member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. She was an avid Chiefs, Royals, and KSU fan.
Lois is survived by her children, Pam (Bill) Elliott of Austin, TX, Tom (Susie) Rice of Overland Park, Nancy (Scott) Kirkpatrick of Lee's Summit, seven grandchildren, Emily (Steve) Rodriguez, Seth (Ashley) Rice, Jacob Rice, Nicole Rice, Cameron Kirkpatrick, Clint (Kim) Kirkpatrick, and Cole Kirkpatrick, and four great-grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Lee Rice, and a son, Phil Rice.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 30th, 9:00-10:30 AM, with a funeral service to follow, 10:30 AM, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 4153 Rainbow Blvd, Kansas City, KS. Interment will follow at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Memorial Gardens. The family suggests contributions be made to Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
