LOIS ALENE ELLIOTT
Lois Alene Elliott, 84, passed away suddenly with Jim at her side on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 at Advent Lutheran Church, 11800 W. 151st, Olathe, KS with a visitation prior from 10-11:30 am; burial in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family suggests contributions to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, PO Box 2105 Olathe, KS 66051-2105.
Lois was born March 28, 1927 in Topeka, KS to William and Della Stolpe. She lived most of her early years in Topeka, KS. Lois married Jim Elliott March 1, 1947 and both later moved to Olathe where they raised their family. She had been a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church for many years. Her favorite activities included quilting, sewing, embroidery, gardening, and teaching Menninger Bible Study. Lois and Jim parented many foster babies for several years through Lutheran Social Services. She and her husband enjoyed traveling throughout the country in their RV. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Jim Elliott; her children: Christine (Loman) Wildy, Nancy (Charles) Letcher, Timothy (Linda) Elliott; grandchildren: Matthew Wildy, Jonathan Wildy, Joshua Joles, Michael Letcher, Eric Letcher, Jacob Elliott, and Ethan Elliott; and a sister, Eleanor Janetos; and a sister-in-law, Marian Uhlig.
