Lois Eller, 85, of Mission, KS, formerly of Olathe, KS, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009, at her home. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 28, at 9 -11 a.m. at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons, 8201 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. October 28, at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Olathe, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or your local hospice organization.
Lois grew up in Junction City, KS, and moved to Olathe in 1962. She was a homemaker, and also worked for the Olathe School System for several years in food service. She was an Avon representative for several years receiving various awards for her sales accomplishments. Upon retirement she spent 18 years as a volunteer at the Olathe Medical Center and had received a Volunteer of the Year Award. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Olathe, KS.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Dwane, brother Gene Clowe and sister Twila Hines. Survivors include daughter, Connie Don Carlos and her husband A.G. and son Bob Eller and his wife Ellen; six grandchildren, Shara DeGarmo, Gregg Don Carlos and wife Jenny, Chante’ Woods and husband Darrick, Becca, Tessa, and Caleb Eller, and seven great-grandchildren. Her sister, Beverly Arnold, brother Robert Clowe and his wife Marge, brother-in-law Ramon Eller and wife Betty, brother-in-law Rolland Hines, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bickford Place formerly Mission Springs and Kendallwood Hospice for their wonderful care.
