Mrs. Lina Dubois

Lina Mae DuBois died on August 18, 2008, at Kansas City Hospice House surrounded by her family.

Lina was the daughter of Monte and Mamie Jenkins and was born in Kansas City, MO on July 19, 1919. She graduated from Central High School and Kansas City Junior College. She met her future husband, Stanley ?Bill? DuBois, while working at Kansas City Power and Light Company, and they were married on May 3, 1941.

Her gifts of hospitality, generosity, and encouragement were evident in her lifelong service to the Episcopal Church and her community. Her life was dedicated to God?s work with grace and a sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years in 2006. Survivors include her brother, William (Rhoda) Jenkins , her daughters, Lyn (Ron) Olson and Ann DuBois, along with six grandchildren: Jennifer (Jason) Van Norman, Kristin (Nick) Wirz, Sara (Aaron) Kline, Will (Anne) Burdette, Keith (Davie) Lynch, and Paul (Flavia) Lynch, and seven great-grandchildren: Emma, Isabel, David, Ellia, Tyler, Amelia and Lydia.
